Morning Meeting

Bonjour Everyone, today we will be reading about greeting. There are more than one different language in the World right? My favorite language is French.   I also like doing the handshake greeting. Noah Says “ I think it is helpful for the other kids because you learn while having fun”. Jeshua says”It helps him remember names like he forgot Barbara’s name, and he thinks her name is Barbara Sampson after we did something called the wax museum and Barbara was Deborah sampson”. Jamie says ”It helps Phineas know all of our names”. Keegan says ”It helps other people to remember names. Camdon says ”It’s a good way to say good morning to everyone. Barbara says” It’s a great way to say hello to your friend. Ella says ”It’s fun for Mrs.Freeman because we as a team are learning, passing the dice is fun to she says. JJ says” It’s a good way for Team Freeman to work together. Alyssa says ”better for Phin to learn our names.”   Another way Team Freeman does morning greeting is with different languages we love using different languages, well I think we do it to teach other people who don’t know a different language like Russian or French. That is why Team Freeman does Morning Greeting.

Reading Your Way to McDonald’s

Can reading books get you lunch at McDonald’s? Absolutely! Jeshua read books and took quizzes on Book Adventure to earn more than 2,000 points. Those points turned into a special prize-lunch with me and friend at McDonald’s! Team Freeman students can take quizzes  using www.bookadventure.com about books  they’ve read. Each quiz earns the student points. Students IMG_8572can chose to use their points for smaller prizes like new pencils and bookmarks or hold out and save for big prizes like extra Preferred Activity Time or a special lunch.         Jeshua, Connor, and I enjoyed a beautiful spring day with a walk to McDonald’s. Along the way we chatted about what we would get for lunch, and I was impressed with the boys’ plan to make healthy choices. The boys impressed me even more witIMG_8573h their polite manners while they ordered their own meals. I enjoyed lunch with Jeshua and Connor and hope to have another lunch date soon! Keep reading!

Light Filters Making a Difference

Mrs. Freeman asked Santa for some light filters. Talia’s and Sophia’s mom purchased  them for Team Freeman! Mrs. Freeman commented saying, ’’Once the lights are off students become quiet and more focused.”  The light filters help us keep the lights steady. The light filters are blue, so the light filters turn a darker shade of the color blue! We love our new light filters! Mrs. Freeman asked the team if they think the the light filters are helping us. Mrs.Freeman said, ’”The light filters create a calming atmosphere.” Jamie said,  “They help a lot.” He also said, “They help us do our work.” JJ said, “They are helpful.” Ella agreed. We love our new light filters!
